We're back...............

Well we have had a FANTASTIC time, the weather has been wonderful, the cottage gorgeous and we've been swimming in the sea most days. We even popped in to see lovely Vicky @ Anglesey Allsorts.

I've not caught up with myself yet and we attended Helen and Ralph's wedding yesterday which was a wonderful day.
This for once will be a short but sweet post as we have a VERY busy week ahead and I have a mountain of stuff to get through.
I must take the opportunity to say a big Happy Anniversary to my lovely husband for tomorrow, it is our 13th wedding anniversary and we've been together now for 20 years, more than half of my lifetime!!!!!! and I'd marry him again tomorrow.
Also Happy Birthday to my lovely Mum who celebrates her birthday on Tuesday.
I've returned from our lovely break in Anglesey in a very reflective mood, probably thinking about all the change ahead of us, so I'm feeling a little restless. Hmmmm.........
Anyhoo, once Mr Twigs has uploaded the holiday pics I'll post a few.
Meanwhile, hope you like the above photo that Mr Twigs took last year and thanks for all your good holiday wishes. Have a great week.

At home with the Twiggys and giveaway update

(Super ace Twiglet art work, with a bit of help from Mummy:)Hope you've all had a lovely Fathers day today. Ours started with taking up Mr Twigs breakfast in bed - Twiglet insisted we must wrap up his pressie pass the parcel style and take Daddy a flower in a vase like Mummy Pigs in Peppa Pig :) Hopefully the neighbours didn't see me capering around the garden in my nighty this morning snipping at the geraniums!!!

Twiglet designed a lovely card for his Daddy on the Bonusprint website and dragged his toy electric guitar and mic into our bedroom, to sing Happy Fathers Day -Daddy - bless !!!
We visited the crematorium with some flowers for my darling Dad and had lunch with Nana and Grandad P, then went on to my Mums who has come home with us for a few days, so I can get organised for our hols - hooray!!!
Well I haven't done any crafting recently but done a lot of joint ventures with Master Twiglet, we had an at home with the Twiggys on Thursday which was very productive.
Twiglet getting all arty at the easel! Some homemade hobnobs - yummy!A plate of our salad that we planted a few weeks ago,
Here we have a carnival barge we made :)
We also dug up our very first potatoes this week, Maris Pipers, oh they were delish!
As I said previously we are going away this week. Lissylou has contacted me so I will get your goodies off to you, however, I haven't heard anything from my other winner yet. I'll wait until 7pm tomorrow, if I don't hear anything by then, I'll draw out another name, so call back if you entered as I want to post parcels off on Tuesday.
By the way don't know if you've noticed on the right, but I've just opened a MISI shop!!!
Have a great week

And the winners are.........

Drum roll please, lurid IKEA bowl at the ready, my lovely assistant Twiglet is ready to draw out a winner. And the winner is........................
Well, actually he got a bit carried away, so we started with MaggieJay, then he dipped in again and pulled out Lissylou too, so we have two winners!!!!

Will you take a look at my shop and let me now what you fancy and I'll get it off to you next week. Could you let me know as soon as possible, as we are going away next week and I would really like to get your goodies off to you before we leave. Righto, congrats to the winner and thanks to everyone else for joining in. I've now got to go and drag my very unwilling hubby round the shops to buy a suit for him for my friends wedding, deep joy..........

Come outside

Here's my one and only alium, I love these they look like glorious fireworks!!

The first flower on my pride and joy lilies that I brought home from South West Cork 7 years ago, they even moved house with us.
Check out our fab potatoes plants, we're eating salad from our greenhouse and can't wait to get stuck into these.
Good old Mr Twigs has finished the raised beds, what a good boy!
Well we seem to have spent most of our time outside recently. Hasn't it been gorgeous?? Hope you like the pics of our garden.
Had a lovely trip to Greenhead Park this weekend too, so Twiglet could have a ride on the newly reopened mini steam train. I LOVE parks, what a brilliant resource, open space for everyone. Where else could you find families in the playground, blokes playing football and cricket, grandparents out with their families, cyclists, skateboarders, dog walkers, tennis players, bowls players .......... Parks are brilliant, I hope we always have them and people always use them. Here are a few photos for you, it was so nice to see the park so busy. We met some great people at the playground and I have to say that Twiglet was getting the glad eye from a few young ladies - unsurprising obviously :)Some of the most fun we've had this week is with 2 supersoakers we were given by a very kind Freecycler. Sadly we were having so much fun I didn't take any photos, so you'll have to take my word for it.
My ankle is on the mend and I've managed to hobble around the park and the garden a fair bit.
We also had a parents meeting at Twiglets new school, which went well and my neighbour told me her little boy has said he's very excited about Twiglet starting at school with him and he'll look after him, isn't that sweet :)
Anyhoo, apologies for the lack of crafting but hey family life is number one isn't it?
I'll make the draw for my giveaway on Saturday, so if you haven't signed up as a follower on Twiggy's Emporium page, you've got to be in it to win it.

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
