Two Treats Thursday - Treat Number 2 - A Giveaway !!!!

Hello campers, cor we've had loads of rain here this week, the water butts are full and the allotment is loving it - yipee!!

(More pretty sweetpeas from the garden, don't they look lovely on the gorgeous little quilt I received from the very talented Heather?)

The rain is  inevitable really with it being Glastonbury this weekend - we will enjoy watching from the sofa and chatting about the muddy time we had there.

So did my avoiding the laptop work?

I could have avoided it a whole lot more but did manage to do more making than I have recently.

I spent a back breaking 3 hours weeding at the allotment on Saturday and then came home and made this scrummy Irish sea food chowder accompanied by my very favourite soda bread.

Twiglet made this very excellent Fathers Day card for his Daddy !!!

I have done a lot of work on my cross stitch which is beginning to look most lovely.

I also made these little earrings.
Considering I've done a lot of overtime and attended a Governors meeting on my day off today, not bad time management really.

Right here's the treats.

Treat number one, a little giveaway of handmade goodies.

A litte felt flower brooch, pretty pincushion, handstitched card and handmade tags.

I'll probably throw in some choccy and buttons and stuff too.

What do you need to do?

Well I've recently caught up with the rest of the world and saw Donnie Darko a few weeks ago and thought it was fantastic, so tell me about a film you've seen and that I really should watch.

Doesn't matter how old it is, why is it good?

I also saw Citizen Kane for the first time a couple of weeks ago, which was terrific - I'm so out of the loop!!

If you want to enter twice, let me know if you're a follower if not, become a follower.

If you want three entries pop a link on your blog back to this post and let me know you've done it.

I'll ask my beautiful assistant to draw a name from the lurid Ikea bowl the weekend after next.

 I really do spoil you.

Prepare to get rubbing your trousers in a Vic Reeves Stylee.

See above post.

Mr Rickman - ooer - I'm off for a lie down.

  1. lovely handmade things, especially Twiglet's card.

Film, one of my faves is 'Erin Brockovich' with Julia Roberts, based on a true story, she takes on a large company on behalf of some families, where she proves that the company has contaminated the towns drinking water.it's a brilliant film, a good story and very well acted as well, well worth watching

  2. Your lovely hand made makes are fabbie Twiggy and I especially like Twiglets card for his Daddy

I'm not a great film watcher but one of my all time favourites is Mary Poppins, it's a real escape and one we always love watching as a family even now and the girls are both in their twenties.
    I already follow your blog
    Happy crafting

  4. Being the winner of one of your previous giveaways I wish everyone luck and they'll love their parcel ;)

A film I'd highly recommend is 300 with my future husband Mr Butler - some of it's a bit far fetched but there are hunky men wearing not many clothes - that's good enough for me ;)

  5. Thank you for visiting my blog and your lovely comment! Orlando is one of my favourite films - quite an old one now, with Tilda Swinton before she was well known. Quite different, and captures the feel of the book in a really interesting way.

  6. Lovely card. Sophie made a big batch during the Easter holidays and has enough for all occasions over the next year.

I recommend Memoirs of a Geisha. The book is excellent and the film sticks fairly well to it. It is oneof those flims that you still thi8nk about long after the credits. It certainly dispels manyof the myths surrounding this section of Japanese life.

  7. Oh, I love Twiglet's card - what a clever boy :o) Your earrings are rather lovely too!

Film...well, I can definitely agree with Josie's suggestion - great film. I re-watched PS I Love You last week - I do love a slushy romantic film, although I loved the book more. I just happened upon Funny Girl for the first time last week and Streisand and her fab costumes are well worth watching, and then there's the music - great :o)

  10. What a lovely set of goodies :) I would recommend getting hold of a copy of Tuesdays with Morrie - its the last film Jack Lemon made before he died and its lovely. He plays a retired social science lecturer who is diagnosed with a form of Motor Neuron Disease. It so inspiring as he shares his wisdom about life, love, good food and dancing :) you'll need some tissues for the end but it worth it.

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
