A post from Twiglet - Car Booty.

Last Wednesday I went to a car boot sale for the first time.

I bought 3 Star Wars toys, R2D2, Yoda and a Super Battle Droid for £1 each.

I bought loads and loads of Lego, including a Lego carry case, a huge box to keep it in and a posh Harrods bag for £10.

At first the man asked for £15 but we finally got them for £10.

I got Dr Who Top Trumps card and Ace Trumps - Tanks for 50p for them both.

I then bought a Dr Who jigsaw from the Prince of Wales Hospice shop for 50p !!

The car boot sale was good.

I will go again.

Twiglet.

  1. Fab car boot finds.
Thanks for dropping by my blog. The little dresses can be made from a pillow case or similar cotton or poly cotton fabrics of a similar amount. Obviously if there is a little more fabric a slightly larger dress can be made for a larger child. If you have any fabric spare and would like to donate it to the cause then please email me for details to post it to and I will happily make up the little dresses with the fabric.
    Many thanks,
    A x

  9. Fab finds. I love to find old board games from the 60s, 70s and 80s. As a family we still play a lot of board games. It should come back into fashion again!

  10. Hi Twiglet,
Car boots are great for finding treasures like these. My parents threw out our lego which was a big mistake, so as you get older hang on to these finds as you will come back to them in the future. My daughter loves her lego and spreading it out on the living room floor is a school holiday must do.
Enjoy the rest of the summer holidays!

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
