So much to say, so little time (it was out of this world)

Hello campers.

We are having a very stormy Monday up here today, we've been dodging in and out of the house to cut down bushes, trim the garden, go to the tip in between HEAVY showers, thunder and lightning - top fun !!

I'm sorry to have been absent for so long, it's a matter of getting the house market ready, new allotment and lots of work but we broke up for our lovely jolly Summer hols a week ago, so I've finally got a bit of time to sit down, think about what we've been up to and to let you know the edited highlights.

Grab a cuppa and I will begin.

For most of July we had a HUGE gazebo up over the patio with Twiglet's paddling pool under it, just the place to sit in a chair having a nice paddle on hot Summer evenings.  The crazy boy, tried to body board in it ;)

We have spent a LOT of time at the lottie, getting it ship shape, I must take some more pics as I can't find the ones I was going to post, here are our first radishes !!
We broke up from school on the 19th July, that was a busy week, on the Tuesday Twiglet received his Chief Scouts Bronze Award - the highest you can get in Beavers, so we had a ceremony and a party.

It was his last time too, as he is up to Cubs in September - sigh!!  He has thoroughly enjoyed Beavers and it has given him so much, the volunteer leaders and helpers are fab!!

He also had a school disco and leavers assembly that week - phew!!  The leavers assembly always makes me well up, gawd knows what I'll be like when it's Twiglet's turn in 2 years.

After a family get together and birthday party for lovely Nanty Nettie - my fab Sister In Law, the following Monday we went on a long awaited trip, to...........................................................................

 It was ace!!

The big meanies made me stand next to Davros - but he doesn't scare me like he did when I was 8 - well maybe just a bit!!
We got a good deal on a hotel room, so stayed overnight, thank heavens we had a room with air conditioning, it was so, so,so hot !!
We absolutely loved Cardiff Bay and would definitely recommend it, we will certainly return.

We went out to Pizza Express for dinner and with it's many outdoor cafes and restaurants, beautiful buildings and public art it has a really cosmopolitan buzz to it and very family friendly.

If you haven't been, do!!

On the way home we called in at Cosford Air Museum, fantastic, huge and free.

Again, take a look folks.
This weekend saw us in Leeds on Saturday for CBBC Live.  Look at this cheeky minx, with a snake around his neck.
Mr Twigs took a suspicious amount of photos of the lovely Naomi Wilkinson and pretended they were for Twiglet's benefit - hmmmm...................
We saw some fab and explosive experiments from the Absolute Genius team, brill!!

I was also very excited to see my first 3d printer - so I'm a geek, what of it !!
We then finished off spending Twiglet's Lego credit card he received from his auntie for Christmas.

The new Trinity Centre in Leeds is amazing and also v.v.v.busy on a Saturday afternoon, so we didn't stay too long.

We've had a lovely morning with our pals at Newmillerdam and we went to the Clarence Music Festival in Wakefield on Sunday.

Twiglet's first festival, we bought a CD from one of the rock bands called Never A Hero, who were fab and very nice young men ( I felt like ruffling their hair and thanking them for being so nice to my boy, but they were very big, so I couldn't reach).

They gave him a free EP, stickers and badges - rock n roll.

They asked him if he'd like to be in a band when he grew up?

He replied yes and be an actor and a train driver :)  so they had a nice chat about Duplo trains then !! Smashing chaps.

So today has been swimming lessons and garden clearance.  More decorating to do this evening, so that's me for now.

If you've got to the very end, well done.

I won't leave it so long next time and as we are putting the house of the market and decluttering, I feel there may be a giveaway in the pipeline.

love

Twiggy x

PS Are you watching The White Queen - I blimmin love it !!

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
