Here is the Christmas news...........so far

Christmas Tree at Twiggy Towers 2013 - we don't believe less is more !!
I can't believe that it's only 6 days to Christmas Day, ( I  also can't believe that the BBC have cancelled Ripper Street either, the mad beggars).

As ever we are crazy, bonkers, busy during the pre - Chrimbo period, so here is the edited news from Twiggy Towers.

Photo of Chrimbo cake made completely by Twiglet, we are going to chop it up and ice it for Grandparents gifts this weekend!!

1. Poor old Grandad Twigs, fell down on Monday night and is now in hospital recovering from an operation on his broken hip, he is such a trooper - send healing vibes please. My Mum isn't too well either :(

2.  Twiglet and I have had a long running nasty stomach bug - the joy of being at/working in a First school near Christmas.

3. Twiglet gave a star turn as Uncle John in the Christmas play, everyone was ace, for such a little school - 80 children - there is much talent and loveliness.

4. The whole school trip to the panto was fun - note to self I am not cut out to look after boisterous under 5s - blimey Charlie!!
Photo of the homemade chutneys made with produce from our lottie, prettified for Christmas gifts.

5. Christmas service in church this morning was delightful, the children sang beautifully.

6. I've really enjoyed watching Christmas crafty programmes this week, the Sewing Bee and a bit of Kirstie Allsop, however, I've decided there is NO way on earth I'll get my cross stitch cake band done for Christmas, so I'll save it for next year - I always start Christmas projects too late, I blame it on the lovely Summer spent on the allotment instead of stitching.

7. I did finish off this little fella for a lovely fellow blogger though :)

8. Cripes it's been windy up here, our for sale sign has blown down 3 times now!! (If you want to buy my house, enquire within !!

9. Last day of term tomorrow - woohoo!!

10. Going carol singing with the Cubs tonight, weather permitting, then they are having a a party !!
Photo of Twiglet's ace kissing ball - note 3D effect !!
This year I made a hamper for my Mum for Christmas full of her fave food stuffs - thrifty and will be used!!

11.  We are going to see Santa here on Sunday - I am v.excited.

Take care, keep warm and I'll try to post again before the big day.

love

  1. Crikey you have been busy. Love the cat you made great expression on his face.

I did rustle up a couple more cards last night and I shall keep going and any not used will be stored away for next year. I can not believe that once upon a time I used to cross stitch my own gift tags! I too break up tomorrow and I am NOT bringing any marking home for once!! Hope the bug B****rs off beforeks for visiting, do not get many comments these days so it was nice to see yours.

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
