Woohoo I've just opened my Etsy shop !!!!!

After much deliberating, I have NEVER sold any of my stuff before because to be honest I think it's a bit pants. Well I've finally done it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that. I've been sewing away all weekend, and this is what I've come up with. Hope you like them...................

A couple of cheery cherry mini cushions ( I realise first one is sideways, but I'm tired ;) ..................And a couple of calorie free scrummy cupcake pincushions.............

Anyhoo, go take a look see, so it looks like my stuff is really nice and I'm dead popular:) in fact save me as a favourite or if you really want to go nuts buy something. Well I've had one of those days today, don't usually talk about `life stuff' on here, but over the weekend my washer packed in, then remembered we have to pay for our hols this month and my hot pad I NEED for my cranky old back gave up the ghost, cue snivelling Twiggy, oh and it's that time of the month.

Anyhow, alls well that ends well, my lovely father in law has written Mr Twigs a cheque for a washer, I've borrowed my mums hot pad and can buy one tomorrow and if we tighten our belts will be able to pay for hols. So no furtive trips to button/craft/ fabric shops for Twiggy for the forseeable future! Will have to make do with drooling over your lovely blogs.................

    Hi Twiggy, I hope your cranky old back feels a bit better, I have had a cranky old neck the past couple of days, too much crouching over this keyboard I think:( I agree with you, nothing ventured, nothing gained, I am going to have a go at selling a few things, mainly collectibles, work is in progress on my site, so may go live fairly soon! Good luck with Etsy, you may get a cult following sooner than you think. x

    Thanks Pixie, I'm a technophobe so I've added it to my post and will make Mr Twigs sort it for me properly tonight. I knew there would be some advantage to marrying an IT expert rather than a physio/cakemaker/hairdresser eventually :)

    i know the feeling about 'life' things~MOT on our camper tomorrow (our only vehicle!) and just found out i am opticians tomorrow and not next month! good job they phone to check the appointments!!!

    Congratulations on opening your Esty shop.

    I hope you feel better soon. I sooo understand the back and the heat pad issues. You can make a quickie makeshift heat pack by tying a couple of cups of dry rice in some cotton cloth or a fabric bag and microwave it. Works like a dream for me especially when away from home!

    aww I have a weird tartan covered wheat thing that I never use, is that like a heat pad, or is it one of those gel hot pads? Why don't you live next door to me I could lend you one of the kids heated beddy bears!
    Well done on the Etsy! I am thinking of doing one as I have cut out five more dolls and am wanting to get them made up soon, this all depends on whether I actually manage to dress any of them! so my Etsy shop should be up and running in about five years.
    I went to Filey to the dentist the other day and I thought of you.
    (Filey made me do that, not the dentist!)

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
