Do you have Christmas rituals? this is one of mine get out my lovely sherry glasses that used to belong to my Grandma and fill with ruby port.
Guzzle, I mean sip delicately whilst writing Christmas cards (aren't these from Charliemotel pretty?)
Here's homespun corner, Twiglets original artwork for his nursery Christmas card, in a jaunty green Ikea frame, Alf the dog made by Jenny, my knitted Christmas tree and some pine cones a neighbour gave us from his garden prettified with silver paint and glitter, ohhhh get us.
Received a lovely surprise package from Josie yesterday, my giveaway prize a fab peg bag, isn't it pretty? Thanks Josie.

Birthday card I made for my MIL.
Angel mince pies made by Twiglet and I, they were so scrummy we're going to make a load for Christmas - yum yum.
The one good thing about having the lurgy this week has been watching It's a Wonderful Life (yes, again) the Snowman, Father Christmas and lots of other Christmas films whilst laying on the sofa eating quality Street. I swear I opened the tin and could smell Christmas 1976. Magic. Will pop back before Christmas. Meanwhile don't get stressed, do get well and eat lots of choccy.
love

Personally I take my port in a pint glass, shh!! We use the sherry glasses (also used to belong to Grandma, does everyone have some?) for the children to have a dribble of wine and lots of water in for Christmas lunch!
ReplyDeleteAnd I must be tired because I had to read your post several times, trying to discover what being petrified by glitter spray meant, der!!!
Hope you are well and not too Beechams addled by Thrusday!

"Here are some Christmassy pics for you, inspired by noseying at everyone elses lovely bloggy Christmas Tree pics."
ReplyDeleteI think I need to get my eyes tested. I read 'pics' as 'pies' and then got very confused at not seeing pies until right at the end. Tsk - stupid woman. (That's me, not you).
Lovely seeing all your Christmassy bits and bobs. Sorry to hear you're poorly again :-( I feel like I've been coughing for the entire year, when actually it's only been about 6 weeks. Ho hum.

Hi
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear that you are unwell again. Guess what, so am I! I have had a chesty cough for nearly two weeks and my inhaler has been working overtime so that I do not sound too wheezey. Have you been to the Doctors? Maybe you could do with a good shot of anit-biotics or something. Hope it goes by the 25th and make sure that you are well enough to enjoy the day. Virtual hugs.

Sorry the twigs are feeling poorly again but with all that glittery goodness surrounding you it should help to cheer things. I'm just starting to come out of a ghastly lurgy - waiting for the pebble tots to get it now!
ReplyDeleteSo much crafty christmas goodness here - little twig is clearly a budding (!) talent in the card and dec department.
Enjoy the (medicinal) port - love those glasses
Emma and all the pebbles
