Feel the fear..... and do it anyway!!!

That's exactly what I did on Saturday when we went here.
http://www.heightsofabraham.com/ I have a great fear of heights which I ignored as I really don't want to pass my phobias on to Twiglet. I felt very brave until we stopped half way up to let people get off at either end. Oh my, how that cable car rocked and Mr Twigs shouted ooo look at those tiny people down there. Flippin heck, anyhoo managed to get to the top and had a lovely time, the weather was gorgeous, the balcony outside the cafe had the stunning view above - no I didn't sit near the edge!!!! Twiglet did lots of playing and went up this tower with Daddy. Can you see them at the top :) We even came back down in the cable car. However, as all the underground cavern tours were 30 minutes long - we felt our boy would get VERY bored - we gave them a miss so I didn't have to face up to my other phobia, phew!!! What a wussy Twiggy.

In other news the previous weekend we were sitting in a soggy Yorkshire field listening to a fantastic steel band, drinking real ale and looking at traction engines!!!

Although the 3 of us are still coughing away I think we're getting better - about time!!!
We've spent a lot of time in the garden recently - weather permitting - and our little veg patch is looking good. Clever Mr Twigs made this frame for the beans.
One of the raised beds, the rhubarb and radishes were very tasty.A gorgeous delphinium grown from seed by Grandma Twiggy..And a lovely hollyhock.I also got all domesticated and made another batch of chilli jam - yummy!! My slothlike state appears to be at an end for now and I made these ATCs for this months Papercrafters swap.Remember the surprise I was making for my friend Helen and her husband Ralph, well here it finally is, it took 5 months to do, but they like it and that's all that matters. Hope you can see it, I had to nick a photo from Helens photobucket, as I forgot to take a photo of it myself, doh!!!
I must be a glutton for punishment as I've offered to do another one for my niece and her future hubby. However she isn't getting hitched until September 2010, so plenty of time to get stuck into it. I'll leave you with a photo that I took of Twiglet and my Mum today, awww bless!!! I have a few bits and bobs on the go so will have to show you next time.
Off to watch Supersizers soon, it does make me larf.
Have a great week
love
Twiggy x

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
