Well today is the first day I've really stopped to take a breath since we returned from our hols a week ago last Friday. I was scolding myself for lack of creativity and then realised I haven't actually had time to get creative so there we are. However, for once when I took Twiglet to the library bus I also picked up a couple of belting books for me, that I would highly recommend. I'd forgotten how much I like to read instead of watching TV !!!
Anyhoo the garden is starting to produce some nice eatables. We've had very sweet raspberries, the rhubarb (above)was lush and turned into a rhubarb crumble. We couldn't believe how rhubarby it tasted and well done to Mr Twigs who grew the plant from seeds!!!
I'm pleased to say that my MAM flu has gone, a few people have asked if it's swine flu, but it can't be cos I had it for less than a weeeeeeekkk (sorry). Twiglet had his final visit to school yesterday and attended a teddy bears picnic on the little school field. Thankfully I walked home from school with my neighbour so couldn't snivel this time. He has been my big brave boy and loves it.
I also received a lovely unexpected package from Vicky today, thank you so much lady you are kind. It contained two bars of choc which Twiglet and I have already scoffed, a lovely embroidered hanky for my tears when he starts school :( a very nice little note, some lavender, buttons and a pot of moisturiser made by one of Vickys lovely boys, thank you to both of you, muchly appreciated. I've now got to go and perv over Neil Oliver as I've recorded Coast. (I'm beginning to sound like a Vic Reeves trouser rubbing housewife type - oh well if the cap fits etc). Here's a pic of the view on the way back from the playground, to leave you with.

Yummy potaotes, made perfect mash to go with our bangers (I'm talking sausages here not Gok Wans definition:)
We had a family do over at my mums for her birthday on Sunday here are the cake and little cakes Twiglet and I made for her - note more garden raspberries.
We had a Mummy and Twiglet day today, first time for ages, he's off baking today so we made a dalek!!!
Played and had a sentimental (to me) journey, I realised that this would proably be the last time we visited our usual haunts of the duckpond and playground and have it all to ourselves. In future we will have to visit in school holidays gulp!!!! We had a lovely time, played on the
climbing frame - I'm very undignified, found out that ducks like stale cinammon bagels
and on the way home Twiglet found out why Mummy shouted out, don't go in the long grass you might fall in some erm..... oh dear, urgh!!! right home for a bath then!!!!
Have a great week.
