Still AWOL but here are some things we did earlier!!!

Well our lurgy has gone from bad to worse. We went down to see our relatives at the weekend and poor old Twiglet spent Saturday night projectile vomiting, which continued in the car on the way home. I am sooooo proud of our boy though, he was and is still being a total trooper and even though he felt ill, he still tried to chat and join in with the others. What a poppet.
Both he and I have been VERY grotty this week, so he's been at home with me and we've spent the week so far mooching in our PJs which is pretty much how we plan to spend the rest of the week. Mr Twigs is made of stronger stuff and only has mild symptoms. He reckons we may have the old pig flu!! Anyhoo, here are some pics of what we got up to before we became germ infected. Hope you like them and I'll catch you later, when we will be hopefully be germ free.
Homemade carrot and coriander soup and cheese scones.
We also made many blackberry and apple crumbles after picking lots of blackberries.
This is the parcel I sent to Gina at Fan My Flame, I included a recipe for chilli jam and a jar of chilli jam. Some handmade labels and some cross stitch seed labels that I was pleased with. Hollyhock, delphinium, sunflower and poppy seeds and some vintage flower cards.
This is the parcel I received from Gina, a selection of seeds and recipes, some garden labels and how fantastic are the watercolour labels on the seed packets.Flying kites at the kite festival. And finally a lovely sunny day out. Here we are, me and my little star (nice shadow Daddy !).Twiggy x

  1. I hope you are feeling better today. I am feeling pretty sorry for myself at the moment too, after having an operation. Nice not to have to go to work though! A bowl of your soup and a scone would go down well for my lunch. x

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
