Get your thinking caps on

Blimmin heck me And Twiglet walked down to school in torrential rain this morning - he was wrapped up like an explorer:)
Soon as I walked back in the house the flippin sun came out - grrr!!

Anyhoo, I've finally got a day off work and I've done lots of housework and now I'm skiving on here!!

We visited my lovely Mum at the weekend and went up to Whitley Locks, looked at the boats, examined the locks and collected half a carrier bag full of conkers!!! (Our house is full of Twiglet''s collections of conkers, sticks, pebbles, shells etc, etc)

Isn't this cute? I bought it for my Mum as a little Christmas pressie - £1.49 from Home Bargains, get them while they're hot folks.  I'm going to buy her another tonight, she likes these little pots as she's cooking for one and they are v.cute!!

Now here's the thinking caps bit - as you know we are having a crafting taster session on Monday 19th November to hopefully drum up some interest in our new WI.

I need to do a little demo type thing so people can do a make and take.

It has to be simple(it's me we're talking about here), cheap (we are currently self funding) and quick.

Any ideas?  would be great if they were Christmas themed.  I've thought of pincushions so far and that's about it.

I'll pop all ideas in a hat and send a little something to the one drawn out - no idea what though !!

Right better type up my minutes from the Scout Meeting last week now!!

Ta ta for now

Twiggy x

PS I will attempt to add info about our craft taster evening on here - do come if you can - they will be cake !

  1. Little felt decorations for Christmas, quick, easy and you can use left over scraps? Simple circles with sequins and beads, robins, puddings, stars, trees, the possibilities are endless. Wish I could come and join you, have fun x

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
