Autumn Goodness

Hooray it's half term hols for us.  We went on a lovely Autumnal walk yesterday, I LOVE this time of year, the trees are so pretty and it was so crisp and bright outside.

Due to the pants weather this year we didn't have much joy on the allotment, but look at these goodies.

Twiglet's one and only fab pumpkin that he grew for Halloween.
One of our lovely fellow allotment holders has two old apple trees and these apples are SO tasty, so my job today was peeling this little lot, it took an hour and a half
we filled up my old jam pan and ended up with this lovely stuff - totally lush !!
I'll give some to my Mum and freeze the rest, saving a bit for Christmas Day - magic !!

Here's a little birdy purse I've bought for my pal for her birthday, she has a couple of hens, so hen pressies are called for, isn't it cute?
A bit of cosy evening stitching I've done for the for the young man.
We had a roast for tea today and finished off with big bowls of rhubarb crumble and custard, lovely.
I've got my old BERO book out and will be making the Christmas cake this week, the clocks go back and the nesting begins.

What little comforting Winter rituals do you have?

Happy Days.

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
