The weather in our part of Yorkshire has been pretty dire until today which has been gorgeous, we've been pottering in the garden all day, (in fact I think I may be a little sunburnt - naughty Twiggy) which I LOVE. We appear to have been adopted by a very friendly Robin who sat on Twiglets swing/tractor/Mr Twiggys garden fork and gave us a good coat of looking at. I'll have to try and take some photos.
I've also spent this weekend cracking on with my Inspirational Summer Swap, I've been partnered up with a lovely lady called Jan who lives in South Carolina, USA. Go take a look at her excellent blog here :-http://www.pugyoga.blogspot.com/Remember I told you that Twiglet and his little buddy were the President and Treasurer of the Under 3's Horticultural and Sculpture Appreciation Society. Well this is one of their very early field trips to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park :) It doesn't seem two minutes ago and they are both 3 this month - arghhhhh, where does the time go? so we'll have to change their society to the Under 5's instead.
I was tagged this week by Cazzy, I promise to do my duty as a tagee in the next couple of weeks, will have to have a good think first. Meanwhile, why not take a look at Cazzys blog :-http://cazzytime.blogspot.com/
Righto, that's me for now, I'm off to do a bit more on my swap for Jan and watch Waking The Dead, everytime Trevor Eve puts on and then removes his glasses, we shout SERIOUS MOMENT, I guess we'll never grow up but Hey who wants to :)
Hey Twiggy I am in the Inspirational craft swap too! Love that photo of your sunflower!
ReplyDeleteHey No 'dissin'Trevor Eve - I like to think him somewhat sexy! Serious moments or not,it works for me!
ReplyDeleteI still remember him as the hunk that was Shoestring - showing my age now!
I've got red stingy arms with the sun burn too! Naughty girl - just to idle to put on some sun cream!
I know what you mean about sunsets in Yorkshire, they are fantastic! Yes, where does the time go, my son is 20! which makes me 40 something next month!!

Hi Twiggy, Trevor Eve is great in Waking the Dead. This series we keep wanting to call him 'bog brush', not one of his best haircuts! I am so glad you enjoyed your weekend, even if the sun didn't appear until the eleventh hour, well apart from Twiglet being a ray of sunshine that is. What about Twiglet and his buddy enjoying the sculpture, they do look a sweet little pair. x
ReplyDeleteYour photos are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got some rest!
That is a great swap idea! I can't wait to see what all is made!
oooh I love sunflowers too and have LOTS growing .. trouble is, I can't remember if I planted giant ones or dwarf ones .. doh! Will have to remember to label them next time!
ReplyDeleteHi Twiggy
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in and for your good wishes. Now I know you exist I'll keep popping back to see you. Thanks for making yourself known!
Sue
I love Waking the Dead too, but wasn't it disturbing this week? Especially if you were eating your tea!
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me,,, I need to get sunflower seeds for Milo. Last year we had nasturtiums in his seed box. Love robins song.

Had to laugh about your Trevor Eve comment! Awesome sunflower photo:)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Twiggy. How did your sunflower survive to such a great height? Mine always get stripped back by the snails! Enjoy your swap and hope Twiglet is fully recovered now
