Mmmmmmmmm food my favourite.

To quote Homer Simpson.

Have you been blackberry picking yet? I've made 4 jars of jam for the first time ever, very scrummy.

This is a post about food - hooray!! My boys are both working late today. The big one is doing some work on a network with BT, the little one is much more excitingly having his first session at the after school Environment Club.

My baby is growing up it's the first time he's asked to do an after school doo dah. I had a chat with his teacher this morning and they are weeding the school allotment and planting Christmas spuds. This made me laugh as I asked if he wanted to help me weed our allotment last Saturday. He said, hmm no thanks Mummy, think I'll ride my tractor instead :)

Anyoo, this morning I've made 12 buns, two apple puddings and 2 pizzas for dinner - Supermum !! I love homemade as it's always a much more interesting shape than bought, eg. pizzas.Look at our homegrown tomatoes, lots of interesting shapes, plum, Beefsteak and Gardeners Delight! they are very tasty.
I did a marathon weeding session up at the lottie this weekend and we came home with this little lot. Lovely spuds, tomatoes, turnip, a handful of green beans and peas, onion and a carrier bag of the most lovely apples. (The apples were given to us by a smashing old chap who has had his allotment for 53 years!!!!!) I spent Sunday evening peeling and cooking the apples, along with a load of rhubarb Mr Twigs pulled up from the garden, so we now have a nice full freezer!!

I know you'll find this shocking but I've started crafting again. Just a bit of cross stitch - yes I realise I said after the wedding sampler that was it but........... well I've done a little something for my friends birthday and I've started some Christmas cards - will show you when I've progressed a little more.

I will leave you with this photo. You know that I enjoy drawing faces on vegetables. I must say it is even more satisfying when you've grown the vegetable yourself, here's photographic proof :)

Righto, off to do some ironing and watch the Bake Off programme on IPlayer, is anyone else watching it?

I love it.

Ta ta for now

Just been down to stay with my Dad, his garden puts ours to shame. Came back with lots of lovely tomatoes, runner beans and peppers - yummy.

I love blackberrying and we don't have to go far at all as there's a bush in the garden!

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
