Phew I'm glad it's Friday, what a week and not all in a good way, anyhoo. We're all change yet again at Twiggy Towers, my weekend job has finished and although I'll miss the money I won't miss the work to be honest. Now Twiglet is at full time school, I sometimes felt I never saw him. Talking of Twiglet he really is growing up he has now asked me to sign him up for not 1 but 2 after school clubs!! He's now doing Environment Club on a Tuesday and will soon start Rugby4Tots on a Thursday. Mr Twigs family is very into rugby so are very pleased, I'm thankful it's just touch rugby as I'm thinking about his beautiful face - arghhhhh !!!!!!!!
Anyhoo, lots to catch up on and tell, so settle down with a cuppa. Firstly, I was awarded this fantastic blog award ages ago by lovely Jackie at Jackiescrafts, thank you soooo much.

Now I was lucky enough to receive this a while ago,so won't bore you with another 7 Twiggy facts and would like to pass it to all you lovely readers who haven't already got it. (what a big cheater).
I also received these fabby Happy swap goodies from Julie over at
Forestpoppy, sorry I scoffed the choccy, the little cushion is filled with Lavender and smells divine.

Here's a close up.

The beautiful tea cup came with a matching saucer plate, which sadly got broken in the post but the cup is still much used and very pretty. Thank you so much Julie.
I don't know whether it's the cold weather or what but this is another post where food features a lot. Here's a dinky little parmesan and sun dried tomato loaf I made for Twiglet, how cute!! and tasty.

Chicken stew and dumplings for dinner yesterday - yum!!

My friend has just got a couple of hens called Margot and Barbara - tee hee!! Anyhoo the lovely ladies made these very dinky eggs for us and they are also the perfect size for Twiglets breakfast. Look at the pretty freckly one!!

We also have more lovely apples from the allotment. (see above) and more monster sized veg. Our cupboard now holds lots of blackberry jam, our freezer lots of cooked apples and Twiglet and I made 8 jars of marmalade last Sunday. I've given some away but it's so nice to look in the cupboards and see the jars all lined up :) Is this Winter nesting?
I've also done a bit of crafting. This is quite amazing for me but I've started doing some Christmas stitching, which I'll show you later and I had a play with my button tin and made these little hearts. What do you think?

I was a very lucky Twiggy today and received my lovely Pay It Forward gift from the very talented
Gina. Fantastic cards, yummy choccy, and this wonderful little pin cushion, you are so clever lady!! Thank you so much.

Now then, as is the rule with Pay It Forwards it is now my turn to pass on the love to three of you lovely readers.

If you want to join in the fun all you have to do is leave me a comment on this post. I will ask my handsome assistant Twiglet to draw out three names next week. I will then send out some PIF goodies to the winners in the next year. All you have to do is enjoy them, blog about them and pay it forward to a further three bloggers. Remember you've got to be in it to win it, so leave me a comment.
Phew, well done if you got to the end.
Have a fabby weekend, we are having an allotment day tomorrow - must be careful as I have a v.dodgy back at the moment and lunch at Nana and Grandads on Sunday.
Bye for now
Twiggy x
Are you planning on getting snowed in this year? what a store!
ReplyDeleteDid you see Egg heads on Thursday? It was a welsh rugby club who won! - Show Twiglet a picture of those guys and tell him to look after his face or he will end up looking like that bunch (not pretty)

ReplyDeleteyour button hearts are lovely! I had a PIF from Gina as well, but as i'm behind in my posts i have not blogged it yet! What brilliant names for chickens - mine, we only have 1 left now, is called Dora, as she's always exploring!!

I love those hearts - did you use fuse wire? Or what did you use to make them keep their shape? I've got lots of buttons and am always on the lookout for simple-ish and inexpensive things that I can put in my granddaughter's Christmas stocking. Sometimes I make things for her and sometimes I put in a "kit" with a photo and/or instructions.
ReplyDeletethanks!
