Jubilee weekend and a teeny, tiny giveaway......

(My first poppy of the year)
Hi folks did you enjoy your Jubilee weekend?

Didn't the Queen look smashing?  poor love out in the blimmin rain on Sunday !!

The crowds did warm the cockles though didn't they - what a great lady.
(lurid Jubilee buns)

We had a lovely, family time.

We went to Railfest at the NRM in York on Saturday with Twiglet's little cuz and my lovely SIL on Saturday.

(train re-enactment)

(My favourite bit at Railfest - a fly past by the Lancaster and Spitfire that flew over Buckingham Palace on Tuesday).
Spent the day at my Mum's on Sunday with my big Sisters and their husbands and some of the children, then over to Nana and Grandad's on Monday - phew !!

Half term is flying by.

However, you chose to spend it, hope you had fun.

We had to take poor old Twiglet to the dentist today as he's had toothache all weekend, seems it was a combination of big boy teeth coming through and a filling in one of his baby teeth - horrors :(

Anyhoo, here's the teeny, tiny giveaway part.

I was rummaging through the cupboard in our spare room last week and came upon this.

A roll of Snoopy space fabric - I bought it with a view to edging a blanket for Twiglet and promptly lost it about erm 3 years ago!!

It's from the fantastic Scrapstore in Leeds and cost me a quid !!!

Any ideas, what I could use it for?  all answers gratefully received and we''ll pick a name out and send you a bit of it - it really is very cute.

Righto, off to watch Lewis now and do a bit of stitching - my reward for getting through about an eighth of our ironing mountain.

Take care.

Twiggy x

  6. Hi,
I would use it to wrap presents for little ones or put double-sided tape and put around the edge of cards or labels.
Tooth ache is awful, Sophie has a very wobbly baby tooth that does not want to come out!!!

  7. I'd use it on a backpack or rucksack for a child. Maybe to edge the flap ot other edges. As you can tell I haven't worked out the design properly!

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
