Fun in Filey

Ahhh lovely Filey the place that just keeps on  giving.

We had a super time this weekend and played in the chilly North Sea (wearing wetsuits, we're not that brave).

We even managed to get a little sunburnt on Saturday.

(This is totally amazing as we had to close our lower playground the day before as the school grounds were completely flooded - the children thought it all very exciting, the parents did not !!)
(This is a photo of our beck that is usually a trickle).

Our wedding anniversary was last week - 16 years - and it is the same date as Mr Twigs lovely Big Sis, so we  all went out for a lovely meal on Saturday night.

 The children behaved beautifully.

This is where we stayed and I can't recommend it highly enough, the hosts are lovely and even arranged a few DVDs and games to amuse Twiglet.

Now we're back and on the big countdown to the end of term - a week on Friday - it can't come soon enough, we are going to be VERY busy until then as I have a month end to do and we have to empty the school for the decorating to be done and a new heating system to be put in - such fun!!

Must mention that our Summer Fayre was a great success(despite the power cuts due to thunder storms) our little school raised a fabtastic £523.

I enjoyed myself selling cakes - we bought a few - it would have been rude not to - here was my contribution, Smartie cookies.

We did sample quite a few before the event, if you want the recipe, just shout cos they are lush.

Catch you later.

  3. Congrats on your anniversary, what's 16 years? We just celebrating pottery I believe! (9 years)

We just had our school fete too, utterly knackered afterwards, I was on the books and bric a brac - so busy I didn't really get a chance to swipe anything for myself. Someone did contribute some porn to the book stall though, which was interesting!

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
