Zoom, there goes week one...........

Every year I think hmmm what shall I do to entertain the Twiglet and every year the time just gallops by.

Our first week off has been no exception.
We started off last Saturday by visiting Crows Nest Park in Dewsbury.

I've never been before, and it really is worth a visit.

There is a small museum, a cute little cafe, great playground, adventure playground, HUGE park and wildflower garden, oh and a little boating lake, do visit.

Sunday saw us in Filey - again (yes I know, we should just live there).

It was Lifeboat Day and lucky Twiglet won 5 prizes on the tombola, one of them a bottle of wine for me -wahey !!

We had a terrific sunny day and managed to cram a lot in, swimming in the sea, body boarding, messing about in the dinghy, spending money on the Lifeboat stalls, eating ice cream, playing the 2p slots, having some lovely Inghams fish and chips, we didn't get home until 9.45pm - dirty stop outs !!
We visited my lovely Mum on Thursday, always so relaxing and peaceful at my Mums house and I ALWAYS fall asleep in her Summerhouse :)

On Friday we went out with my good friend C, and her boys (who haven't seen Twiglet since half term).

They played in the woods for hours and we had a walk around New Miller Dam.  We are seeing them again tomorrow, it is so lovely to have time to catch up with our friends.
After tea on Friday Mr Twigs took us to Thornes Park in Wakefield to see the annual free classic car show, we bumped into a few of Twiglet's school friends and saw some fab vehicles.

I'll have this VW Camper please - how cool.
 Twiglet fancied the Caterham.
Here is a lovely old suitcase I found in my Mums garage - she was going to throw it away - so I nabbed it to keep my fabric in, isn't it fab?

My first sweetpeas this year from the garden,  they smell divine.
We went to a car booty on Wednesday, Twiglet managed to use his pocket money to buy a Wii game, some Top Trumps a brand new Pirates of the Caribbean game, a 1978 Daleks annual, and a Sonic computer game for £8 - honestly that kid , his money is elastic !!

Here's what I bought a lovely home grown geranium for a costly 50p!!

It brightens up my kitchen window ledge a treat.
We've just been on a local character building 4 mile walk and frankly I need to have a brisk lie down.

The hols are fab but very tiring, we need to go back to school to have a rest :)

Have a super week, whatever you're doing.

Twiggy x

PS I have exciting news about the annual Emley Country Show and something else too, but that will have to keep !!

PPS Did you watch the Olympics Opening Ceremony, we loved it, Twiglet passed out at 11.15pm and had to be carried up to bed ;)

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
