Well we finally made it and broke up for half term yesterday.
What a relief we have had loads of children off school this week with a sore throat and/or norovirus.
At it's height on Tuesday there were 24 out of 80 children off sick-including Twiglet :(
Thank goodness we managed to have his birthday party before the sickness began on Monday,
Anyhoo we just went for his swimming lesson and it had been cancelled as a child had been sick in the pool - bleurgh, it would have been nice for the pool folks to warn us before we drove over but hey ho!!
It's been grotty, wet windswept day today, we have many plans mostly around home with perhaps an outing over the next week and our first visit to the car booty this year- yay !!
The photos are from a sunny evening walk last week.
Well that is if we can drag Twiget away from his Kindle Fire -he has saved and saved for it for ages and the lucky boy was given birthday cash as well as lots of super pressies,so he was able to finally buy it and bank the rest !!
I've got to say though my favourite gift from his friends are a homemade Tardis on a stick,a homemade Dr Who and K9 pencil case and a Keep Calm and call the Dr t.shirt :)
Well however, you chose to spend half term, keep warm and have fun, lets hope for a bit of sunshine

We've been to a couple of car boot sales recently (bargain wormery alert!) and we are heading out to Saltaire Arts Trail at some stage this bank holiday. Have a good half term!

It seems to have been a very bad year for school illness - our school has a chickenpox outbreak as well as the usual colds and sickness.
