Bit of art and yet more charity shop gold.

SoTwiglet and I have had a lovely, if soggy half term.

We were going to go to the cinema on Thursday but decided instead to visit The Hepworth in Wakefield - we love it here and it is soooooo child friendly.

The staff are really helpful and welcoming, we did the art trail around the gallery which is fab.

We also had a go at the Artigami workshop, check out our versions of Barbara Hepworth's Winged Figure - pretty good I think !!

Friday saw us at my lovely Mums.

I took a little walk up to the shops and it would have been rude not to visit the Sally Army shop, look what I found !!
Fab and groovy Golden Hands mags, a vintage Vogue knitting pattern book and look at this vintage beauty complete with original embroidery transfer.

These are some of the patterns in the Vogue knitting book - gorgeous !!
My Mum really enjoyed looking at them, once I've had a good look, I might pop a few on Ebay, so watch this space.

I also picked up 3 new (to me) tops for work from my favourite chazza shop in Pontefract - so an all round successful trip !!

Righto, better think about making something for tea.

Ta ta for now.

Twiggy xx

PS Twiglet says thank you for all your birthday wishes !!!

  3. I have loads of those Golden Hands magazines that I found in a charity shop too. I got four folders full and the bags they were in nearly broke my hands as I walked home with them but it was worth it!

  4. Brings back memories - I had a complete set of Golden Hands in a bound version when I was first married!

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
