Can you believe it???

(I've popped on some photos of a walk we took down the lane before the rains came - the hedgerows are full to bursting with blossom at the moment and our lottie has gone barmy - must be all the rain).

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY ..........

Our lovely boy was 9 recently!!

9  I tell you!!  where has the time gone?

 (please ignore loo in background).

Anyway many happy returns to the gorgeous one.

We had a really lovely day at Lightwater Valley with one of his pals, thankfully before all this grotty rain arrived, it was glorious and we were there for 7 hours.

It was great and so quiet we went on several rides 3 times!! (I didn't go on the big ones as I am a total wuss).

So here we are at a very soggy half term, we visited Magna for the first time on Sunday with Twiglet's little cuz, once we'd negotiated the flooded roads and rerouted through Rotherham - top fun.

I will have to put some photos on here once Mr Twigs has loaded them up.

Went here for dinner on Sunday night, very nice it was too.

Old Twiggy doesn't go out that much but I even went out (whispers) on my own with the ladies from work last Friday for a retirement do - crikey, whatever next.

We spent the last dry day here on Bank Holiday Monday weeding the lottie, glad we did too as it's tipped down ever since.

Twiglet and I have spent the rest of our time so far, watching films, playing on the Wii, he tried to explain the complexities of Minecraft to me but as I'm not a 9  year old boy, I just don't get it ;)

We made cookies and hob nobs yesterday, it's lovely to have a bit of Mum and Twiglet time.

Last night saw Mr Twigs and I attending the opening of the Doncaster Literary Festival opened by Stephen Booth, what a lovely evening we had and what a thoroughly interesting and nice fella.  Like many of his fans I chat with him on Facebook so it was nice to meet in the real world so  to speak, and assure him I'm not a stalker - lol!!

I'm cracking on with the cross stitch - see photographic evidence, but still have a long way to go.

I must admit I'm wasting far too much time online faffing about rather than doing stuff, must try harder.

On that note I feel I've neglected my blog but find myself using Facebook as I suppose it's quicker to use.  I don't seem to get many comments on my blog these days so I suppose really I keep it going as a kind of journal about Twiglet's childhood as I do enjoy looking back as what we've done.

Would you believe this is my 400th post!! what a gasbag.

I think I might well have a giveaway, watch this space.

I'm now going to try to figure out how to put a link to my Facebook page so  do feel free to come over and say Hello and tell me to stop wasting time playing on line games.

Have a good half term folks

Twiggy x

  1. Hi Twiggy, gosh I can't believe Twiglet is nine, he was only 3 (almost 4) when I first started following your blog. I do love reading your blog posts even if they aren't always that frequent so please don't stop. I will look for you on Facebook do you go by Twiggy on there too?
Enjoy the rest of half term

  4. Hope you had a lovely birthday Twiglet. My daughter starts secondary school in September and I do not know where the time has gone at all.
I do not get as many comments either, could be FB and Instagram but I still prefer blogs so I shall keep popping back as I am a follower and see when you post. Sorry about the soggy half term, for once it has been a half decent week here in Cornwall!
    Take care

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
