So we had a busy, busy Bank Holiday weekend starting with lovely Nana and Grandad Twigs taking us out for a delish Italian meal.
As previously mentioned Twiglet met one of his heroes. IVOR THE ENGINE!!!!!!!
We visited Embsay station with our friends as it was Twiglets little mates 4th birthday last Sunday. I haven't been up in the Yorkshire Dales since before Twiglet was born and I totally forgot how beautiful it is, absolutely stunning. Despite the VERY cold and windy weather we had a jolly time. What a pair of rascals.
I seem to have been dealing with a fair amount of real life crap recently so haven't done that much crafting but I also seem to have lost the crafting urge. So, I thought I'd try some new stuff to relight my fire. What do you reckon. New flower brooches.
I've been a very lucky lady recently, my friend Helen gave us a big box of card which we're making great use of already. I was also given a huge bag of tapestry wool by a lovely Freecycler. Another Freecycler offered me a few needlepoint books, a few turned out to be 22!!! they are lovely. However, I don't have room for everything, so feel a giveaway coming on in the next few weeks. Talking of giveaways look at this gorgeous parcel I received from lovely Sal of Sals Snippets fame, today, thank you sooooo much.
Finally, I'll leave you with a pic of my little nursery in the porch. I've just been watching Gardeners World whilst typing, I do love it. Continuing in the vein of trying something new, I've now got my name on two waiting lists for an allotment, both of them very long, so I better get Mr Twigs busy building me my raised beds next year!
Have a great week.
Twiggy x
PS Do you like my new colour scheme, change is definitely in the air at the moment!
Hi there!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it reached you without any damage.
I had visions of that CK body cream spurting out all over the place... and leaving a trail from Devon to Yorkshire!!
LOL ;-)
omg is that Ivor the engine with Idris the Dragon in the firebox? I used to love watching that when I was small. :)

Yes, I like the brighter blue - a change is as good as a rest. I change my blog colour scheme regularly or I get very bored with it I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures of your 'doings' there Mrs Twigs - keep up the good work. I'm sure your mojo will return when the time is right. (Hope the crap stops crapping).

I had forgotten all about Ivor the engine, it is so wonderful. I bet little Twiglet had so much fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Twig. Have I missed something? I thought i had been keeping up .. danish keyboard?? xx
ReplyDeleteI've just come over to check that my eyes didn't deceive me when I read on Taz's blog that you have been a-pleasuring MY David Tennant. We seem to causing a bit of a queue outside the TARDIS. There's you, me, and a nutcase called Angel at Shabby Angel. I think we may have to fight it out with sink plungers a la Daleks. (Afternoons would suit me best as I don't get up 'til after 11 o'clock! Great Blog! SueX
