Hooray for the holidays.

Well we had a terrific day today, me and Mr Twigs and Nana and Grandad Twigs went to see Twiglets nativity in our village church this morning. I really can't accuse my son of being a show off as I only found out on Wednesday night that he was a wise man in the play !! I mentioned my friend had phoned and her boy (Twiglets mate) had been a wise man in his nativity and picked his nose throughout :) Anyhoo, Twiglet pipes up, I'm being one of those on Friday, so I said are you? what will you wear. He replied, a gold crown a wise men cape, a fluffy waistcoat and I have a gift it's myrrh but I don't think there is really any in the box - tee hee. Oh I said, why didn't you tell me poppet, he told me, oh I forgot. He is just like his Daddy !!!
Anyhoo it was lovely as we walked down to our village church and we've had a bit of snow overnight so everything was picture perfect. His little girlfriend was Angel Gabriel with tinsel in her hair, so pretty. Twiglet was a great wise man and when he spotted me and Grandad in the crowd kept waving his wise man gift at us!!! One of the camels was a little tired so had a lie down on the floor and the shepherd played with the sheeps ears. The children all sang beautifully and I managed not to cry, just. My boys first ever nativity, what a thrill.

When we left the church it started snowing again, just perfect. We went on to buy little mans Christmas pressie a very lovely wooden pirate ship. This afternoon we collected him from school and he's made us some beautiful things a little calendar, a fantastic handprint angel and a card and a little Christmas cake!!! photos to follow.
This evening, we drove into Leeds to see the pretty lights, so all in all a lovely day full of memories.
We're now full of sniffles but who cares cos we have 2 weeks for snuggling under blankets, watching Christmas films, eating goodies and cuddling. I for one can't wait !!!!

PS The only annoying thing about today is Mr Twigs camera packed in, so we have no photos, but I'll carry the pictures in my head forever.

  5. I loved school nativities, but they always made me cry. So glad you got the snow Twiglet longed for. We've had 6 inches so far, the children have started an igloo in the back garden.

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
