our very own allotment - wahey !!
To say we're all excited would be the understatement of the year. Twiglet has already planted his prize winning onions and we've only had it for a week!!!
We have lots to do, but are enjoying spending at least an hour up there every day, it's a short car journey away from our house. In the Summer hols Twiglet and I will be able to catch a bus up there as there is a bus stop right outside the site. We're just on the lookout for some kind of shed/shelter affair incase the heavens open and we're up there without the car.
As part of his birthday haul Twiglet got a little metal spade, fork, trowel and gardening gloves and you should see him get stuck in, it's great :)
So far we have planted spuds, parsnips, pumpkins and prize winning onions. We also going to move my poor old greenhouse up there as it is not as exposed as our garden, so hopefully it won't blow away every Winter like it currently does. (Photo of Twiglet trying to create some shade, doesn't our neighbours plot look fab?)
So there we have it the Good Life comes to Twiggy Towers. Watch this space..........................
