Where does the time go???

Flippin heck, time seems to be just whizzing by at the moment. I've had to get cracking and pull myself out of a, I'm missing Twiglet fugue and also the after effects of being ill over the Summer so thought I'd keep busy and then some.Remember, I mentioned I'd bumped into my oldest friend who I hadn't seen for 8 years. Well she came a visiting last week and it did me a power of good. (Now, can you Mums out there identify with the, my child is growing up, what should I do now, who am I? questions). I was a bit gloomy and after seeing S, catching up and having a good giggle I am feeling quite inspired. Aren't good friends great?? We are meeting up next week too.

Mr Twigs is a bit off it as well and although working, is waiting to see a specialist in November, so healing vibes please people.

In allotment news we went up there last night and frankly it is a swimming pool. We've spoken to the council who are going to take a look and see if they can think of some solutions. Apparently while we were away this weekend it rained and rained. Anyone know how to grow rice:) Thank goodnes we'd picked the prize winning onions and Twiglets pumpkins aren't in the soggy bit.

Before you think it's all a big gloom fest at Twiggy Towers. We've had time for a bit of jollification, the weekend before last we had a nice walk in the woods and a bit of den building and not forgetting a bit of a swing !!! We have had a very fun time down at Mr Twigs sisters house this weekend. We were wined and dined, taken to their health club - we sneaked Twiglet into the jacuzzi, he is quite spoilt now and I think the council pool won't match up ;) Twiglet also had his first cinema experience and we went to see Thomas the Tank Engines Misty Island Adventure. (don't tell anyone but I nodded off for a bit) he thoroughly enjoyed it though, apart from nasty Diesel 10 who made him cry :(

Look who else we went to see.
Winnie the Pooh at 100 Aker Wood - how exciting !!!Piglet is my own personal favourite, excitable and anxious I can relate to him !! Whereas Mr Twigs is definitely Winnie the Pooh.
Has anyone started Christmas crafting yet? I've done a bit of cross stitch and fancy making a couple of banners. I'm also going to attempt to make my first ever Christmas cake !!!

I've decided to do my PIF after Christmas, so will post about that later.

Twiggy x

PS Did you see Spooks on Monday - on my TV guide it warned of upsetting scenes, I think that must have been Richard Armitage kissing a woman that wasn't me!!
Have you also seen that David Tennant is back on our screens on Sunday - double hoorah !!
Goodness me, how on earth did those lovely photos get on here!!!!

  2. Hi Twiggy
I'm so glad the meeting with your friend has cheered you up and inspired you, I hope the allotment dries out soon. It's good news that Twiglet's pumpkin and the onions are safe and dry. I can identify with you about the who am etc. etc. I'm struggling since we came back from visiting Hannah in Canada and need to pull myself together and get on with life and decide what now.
I've made a few Christmas cards but that's all so far
    Take care
    Hugs Jackie x

  4. Am so glad that it's not just Nathaniel that doesn't like Diesel 10, always thought he was being a bit wet but at least now I know he's in good company! x

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
