Hello Pumpkin

Hello. Phew I'm banjaxed, we go swimming on a Wednesday night and I'm now fit for nothing apart from perhaps watching The Apprentice or Ugly Betty :) Anyhoo, how are you all? Glad to know I'm not alone in my appreciation of Mr Rickman. So firstl,y please see above the first pumpkin from Twiglet's amazing harvest, many more to follow, this is one of the smaller ones, isn't it pretty?

It's my mates birthday next week (the owner of Margot and Barbara the chickens) so I made her this little card - please excuse out of focus photos, do you like it? it made me larf!!We attended Twiglet's parents evening on Monday and it was all good stuff, he is sociable, loves science, maths and his reading is fab, however like a lot of young chaps his hand writing needs work, but we'll get there. He came home with a certificate on Friday for - always contributing to class discussion - which I thought was most lovely :)
As we all know blogland is fab and full of lovely bloggers. Well I followed up on recommendations from two great bloggers this week. Firstly, Lisa at A Day in the Life of a Craft Fairy who mentioned these fab kilner style jars at Home Bargains for 99p!! bargain or what - get them while their hot!! Warning though, they are flippin heavy !!Also, lovely Diane at Heart Shaped often writes about how wonderful Wentworth is.
It was glorious up here on Sunday so we finally got there and enjoyed it so much we're thinking about getting a season ticket. I've scattered a few photos throughout my post.
Remember, I told you that I'd bumped into my bestest ever friend who I hadn't seen for 8 years a while ago? Well we have subsequently met up twice since then and honestly it's just great.
How can you not see someone for so long and then feel like they've just returned from the kitchen after making a cup of tea. We had to laugh on Tuesday we had a shopping trip, when we were teens these would be buying outfits, earrings, make up etc to go out that weekend. Now we're both Mums we bought kilner jars, mops and electrical extensions - oh the glamour of it all :)
Take care

Twiggy x

PS I will return later in the week with a bit of work related news !!

  1. So glad you enjoyed it Twiggy - I bet your youngster loved the play area!! It is worth getting a season ticket as its not very expensive and they seem to have a fair bit going on too. Wentworth Castle is at Stainborough (confusingly!!) so if you decide to visit Wentworth Village ever and need a tour guide, let me know. xxxxxx

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
