Todays post brought to you by Twiggy and Twiglet

I am assisted by Twiglet today as he was going to nursery this morning until he started being sick. We still all have the lurgy here - yuck!!! Anyhoo he's cavorting around on his hobby horse wearing a firemans helmet at the moment, so think he's feeling a bit brighter. I keep falling asleep sitting up - not good. The ironing will have to wait for another day.
Well had a lovely Mothers Day last weekend, but decided to have it a day early on Saturday, as the weather was so glorious. We went to Whitby.................My boy made me a lovely card and pressie at nursery - bless.
Also bought me a pretty plant and lovely windchime.
Finally managed to fly our kite! Found lots of fossils at Sandsend and had a tiptop time.
Had a surprise this week in a bad way, discovered that Twiglet is starting school FULL TIME in September, he's still my baby - argh!!! however asked young Master Twig what he thought about this and he said, cool, fantastic!!!! Ok, I'll be the one sobbing into a cushion then, you'll have to put up with me sniffling come September.

So we've decided that this being our last summer of freedom, it should be our last hoorah, and this is when I received a surprise in a good way. Lovely Pam at White Morn was having a VERY VERY generous giveaway of two seperate weeks at her beautiful cottage in Ireland and I was lucky enough to win one of them. Fanflippintastic!!!! Thank you soooooooooo much Pam.
And finally here are our cucumber seedlings, coming on nicely.
Ok off for a Lemsip now and Dr Twiglet is currently taking my temperature, apparently I need an ice lolly :)
Have a nice week
love
Twiggy x
PS Someone very kindly passed on an award to me ages ago, I haven't forgotten and promise to blog it properly next time.

  10. I'm only just sewing my vegetable seeds this weekend - I now feel rather ashamed at being so late in my plants this year. Your cucumbers look to be going very well.

Looks like you had a great weekend - your pictures have made me miss living near the sea - I must get back to the south coast this summer!

  19. Such lovely beach shots, the sky is an amazing blue. We go fly our kite sometimes, good fun, but does 'arf make my arms ache! Wow, fancy winning the holiday cottage giveaway, you could do with spending some time there now, to eradicate the lurgy! Very healthy looking seedlings, I haven't sown one seed yet, not like me at all. x

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
