So, lurgy gone apart from v.sore throat, but I'm typing not chatting so that's ok. I'd like to say a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE thank you for all your get well wishes, you lovely lot, I'm sure your good vibes made me feel better.
Well inbetween my bouts of illness I have spent a fair bit of time in the garden recently.
Looking at the lovely flowering currant bush (see above). The pretty tulips and daffs and guess what I found? My crafting mojo - hooray!!
Are you enjoying the Easter hols, those of you with offspring? We have a lot of Easter crafting on the cards for tomorrow and have spent a lovely day today over at my Mums. We planted wallflowers, night scented stocks, carrots, lettuce and broad beans on Monday. Made some bread and a rhubarb and apple CRUMPLE as Twiglet calls them, scrummy they were too.
Which in my usual lazy way I'll completely disregard the rules and pass it on to everyone who was kind enough to leave a get well message on my last post. Feel free to pop it on your blog and pass it on if you wish, if you don't that's fine too.
I did manage a trip to the park on Sunday afternoon, so I leave you with some lovely pics (would also like to point out that the train fair when I was little in the 1970s was 2p, so 20p doesn't seem that bad to me :) and will be back soon with a fantastic charity shop find and the results of the return of my crafting mojo.Twiggy x
Glad you sre feeling better and just in time to enjoy Easter. What a wonderful little train, I bet Twiglet wanted to take it homne with him.
ReplyDeleteOh, so glad you're feeling better Twiggy. Sounds as though you've had one nasty after another. I've got the girls' lurgy now myself - feel as though I've swallowed a couple of spiky golf balls. When we emerge from all the nasties I might even get to the post office. I am CRUBBISH!
ReplyDeleteAs I've said before it looks like your little one is as mad on trains as my six year old....we have a HUGE Thomas collection. I am debating whether to take my little ones to York NRM next week or if it will be too busy over the Easter holidays...???
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are feeling better!
What lovely cards! I have so much card making stuff but I never seem to get the chance to use any of it up...I really must start. I've been cross stitching this week, which has been nice.
Happy Easter!
Bout time you got better! Summers on its way! Beaches and picnics and holidays and nice things to do!
ReplyDeletePretty flowers, glad Mum is ok - I want a 'crumple' now! may be make one for tea.
Boring stuff today, making the place look simewhat tidy for Easter visitors! Try and email you soon.

20p to ride the train! That is an absolute bargain. I'm so glad to hear that you are on the mend hon. Seems once we get one thing then there is always another lurgy waiting in the sidelines.
ReplyDeleteI should get some Crumple when I go down to my Mum's next week, she knows I always prefer more crumple than the fruit :D
So pleased you found your mojo ... those pesky things are way too good at hiding!
ReplyDeleteLots of loveliness in this post, but the best thing is that you're feeling betterer.

PS I am LOVING the school holidays - not having that alarm going off in the mornings is sheer bliss.
So glad to hear you are better. Love your new bag. You must live near Josie. How great it is to be able to meet fellow bloggers. I have only met one - Lizbiz in Ballinamore. You'll likely meet her when you are there. She is great fun - a free spirit. She has just come back from White O'Morn where she went for a bit of peace and quiet for a few days.
ReplyDeleteShe loved it but said she found it a bit cold. Stone built you see. Best bring your thermal vest! Cheers...Pam
I'm glad that you're feeling better and have your mojo back.
ReplyDeleteI really hope that mine is not lost out in my garden, as it's so overgrown with weeds right now that I might never find it...
You have been busy Twiggy, your cards and photos are all fab
