Charity shop gold

Well we've had a lovely weekend my Mum (Grandma Twiggy) and Nana and Grandad Twigs came over for a firework party on Saturday evening. (Above photo by Mr Twigs) My mum stayed over and we had a lovely wintery Sunday afternoon, a visit to a gorgeous museum at Cannon Hall, and a slap up Sunday roast, succulent free range chicken cooked by Mr Twigs followed by yummy countess pudding baked by me.
Our lovely time continued yesterday after school when Twiglet went to his little pals joint 6th birthday, he came home a very tired but happy little chappy. Took ages to wake him up this morning :)
Now here's something I've been meaning to share with you for a while.
Occasionally I strike charity shop gold that is so fantastic it gives me a buzz for ages. Here are my latest fab purchases.
Look at this an original Camblewick Green lotto game, it is immaculate and Twiglet loves playing it, bought for an astonishing 50p!!!! (Salvation Army shop)
Something just for me, Ready to play? What's the day, it's Tuesday................. Being a child of the 70s I LOVED Play School, how fab are these two jigsaws and again pristine condition,

75p from Cancer Research. I'm going to frame them for the wall in our spare room/soon to be kind of craft room. Hooray for charity shops.

  3. Hooray! Hooray indeedy!! What would we do if we had not the delights of the Chaity shops!
Huppy P spends all his lunch hour in them - the old Dears think of him as part of the family, and 'put things by'for him. He feels he has to buy them, wether he likes/wants them or not!! He brings some interesting things back!
Just love the Playschool jigsaws - who was your favorite? I think mine was Jemima!

    Hope you are all ok!

  4. Wow fantastic finds. One of my claim to fames is that I was on Play School back in the 80s, I was in a drama group and we were one of the stories through one of the windows, don't ask me which as it was the days when having a video recorder was for the posh kids not the likes of me :)

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
