Oh what a lovely day

Well today we finally celebrated Mr Twigs birthday, he couldn't get time off work on Friday and Twiglet has an INSET day off school today so we had a lovely Autumny day in one of our very favourite places, York.
THE place to be on a crisp Autumn/Winters day. We didn't take cameras as sometines you just want to have fun without thinking (so ahem, borrowed my images), hmm would this look good on my blog but I will share a bit of our lovely day with you. We started off at Micklegate and had a look at a flooded River Ouse from one of the many bridges.
Had a spot of lunch in my fave pub, The Golden Fleece. Had a very nice pint of Centurion Ghost ale too.
Had a good look round our favourite York shops.
and not forgetting The Teddy Bear Shop.

Had a little nosey up and down all the snickleways - isn't that a fab word? invented by the writer of a walking guide in 1983 to describe all the small lanes in York, that are a combination of snickets, ginnels and alleyways !!! Had a shamble down The Shambles............... And finished our visit with a walk around the city walls, we were rewarded with fantastic views. We have had a very busy but smashing half term, Twiglet is back at school tomorrow. After I've done my ironing mountain and sorted the house out post half term hols, I'll be back.

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
