Domesticity Rules OK !!!

I don't know whether it's because I'm 40 or because we're having some beautiful sunny weather up here, but I've had the urge to make recently. I made the hearts above while watching TV (there will be one on it's way to you next week Lissylou). I spent Wednesday afternoon making a fish pie and apple crumble for dinner and then made a very scrummy carrot cake !!! What's going on? Even Mr Twigs was impressed.

I had a lovely few hours with my pal yesterday who I haven't seen since a week before Christmas due to the weather and stuff. It was so good to have a good moan about families, both of our dire financial situations and our boys teething troubles settling in at school. We're both finding that raising confident, free spirits that like to question things doesn't always work in a school environment. Ho hum, we'll have to compromise I guess.
Anyhoo, I'll close my give away a week today and the young scallywag can select a winner.
Have a fab weekend and hope we all have a sunny one as we have lots of plans. Hooray Spring MUST be round the corner.

  3. Hi You - A Domestic Goddess or What!!? - its got to be an age thing!
My two boys found their upbringing (everyone has a right to voice their opinion,in a reasonable way, and be listened to, even if you and/or the majority dont believe in/agree with them etc)- a little at odds with school! That 'sit down and shut up, and just take what we tell you as the true and only way' etc
Work your way through it - its an on-going process!
    Have a good weekend x

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
