Hello sunshine

Ooooo it's gone all green on my blog. I thought I'd look forward to Spring by having a bit of a change. Let me know what you think.
Well we certainly got our sunny weekend up in West Yorkshire and squeezed every moment of enjoyment out of it too!!
We had a frugal but fun weekend. Saturday saw us here.http://www.ncm.org.uk/
I can't recommend this museum enough, they have a great photographic exhibition there at the moment, it really is fab.

We had a look and then walked around the nature trail which is so pretty.
Sunday saw us here at Sandal Castle, http://www.castleuk.net/castle_lists_north/111/sandalcastle.html and Twiglet and Daddy just HAD to go and take a look in the moat - boys............
We also had a nice visit with Nana and Grandad Twigs which is always lovely.
I'm very proud of myself. As a person who never reads instructions or if I do doesn't actually understand them, I surprised everyone by managing to thread and use my new sewing machine this weekend, totally unaided - amazing!!!
The domesticity continues at Twiggy Towers, more baking, Apple pudding a cherry cake (sorry no cake photos as we've scoffed it already)Mr Twigs made a slow cooker full of vegetable soup - very scrummy.
A bit of time for a little stitching - work in progress (see top of page).
And finally, here are the results from my new hobby, I'm very excited about these.
love
Twiggy x

  1. You make such lovely things, the cake looks good enough to eat and if those earrings are your first attempt at jewellery making well, you're onto a winner there. Green for Spring, I've chosen yellow do pop over and have a look when you have a minute!! Lucey xx

  3. HI, reading your blog made me feel great, I never read instructions for anything as I am always in too much of a hurry, I leave that kind of thing to Mr.T.
Have just found you blog and will be popping in regularly for inspiration.
By the way, your cooking looks luscious!

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
