Listings, lurgy and lovely post.........

How's that for an alliterative post title?

Rain, sleet, snow, rain, sleet, snow, February really is my worst month of the year - yack!!! The weather is foul up here and to cap it all I've got Mam flu. Thankfully kind Mr Twigs has driven Twiglet to school before he went into work the last two days, so I just have to walk down to collect him in the afternoon but even that's wiping me out, I feel like I've got sunstroke, hot, cold, shivery, sore throat no appetite - urgh !!! Mr Twigs does like to share his germs.

Anyhoo, onto nicer things, we had a lovely weekend and woke to surprise snow on Sunday and visited Bagshawe Museum in Batley a very interesting place and a gorgeous house.Twiglets school had an INSET day on Monday so we went to Tolson Museum in Huddersfield as I wanted to take a look at their rag rug exhibition, there was some stunning work there. Both museums are worth a visit if you are in the area.
We Twiggys are very cultural indeed.

Now for the postal lovelinessI received two lovely surprises for my birthday from my Craftersforum pal Carolynne (see above) fantastic peacock goodies and look at that fab jigsaw birthday card. I also received these lovely goodies from Sue, isn't the stitched card gorgeous? Thanks ladies.
Kaye over at Stitchng Life recently offered up some lovely bundles of fabric for swapsies. How gorgeous is this? Here's the listings bit, I've made some more earrings which I'm going to pop in my online shops once mr Twigs has taken some decent photos for me with his super ace camera. What do you reckon?
I'm having a major declutter at the moment, so if you fancy a bit of Cath I've just listed a stack of catalogues and have quite a few magazines to sell too. Here's a link.

Have you seen Mastercrafts on a Friday evening, most lovely programme indeed. I loved the first one about woodturning, so relaxing.

Righto, I better go and eat a banana or something before the trek down to school, don't want to faint in the playground! Send healing vibes folks and a bit of sunshine wouldn't go amiss.

  8. I haven't ever heard of Mam flu! I hope you are starting to feel less fluey now. I'm sure all those goodies in the post, and the lovely trip out, must have helped cheer up those dull, achy moments you've been having of late. I have been watching Mastercrafts, and enjoyed the thatching episode too. Keep eating those bananas! x

  10. Ive never really "done" Huddersfield (reminds me of the 2 Ronnies - She was only the farmers daughter but she liked her Huddersfield!!) I think when the weather improves - i'll have to go exploring. Love the Slade!! My favorite Slade is song is "Everyday" - not what you expect Noddy Holder to sing, but its beautiful.

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
