So what's new and a bit of news..........

Hello. Glad you enjoyed our little stroll last weekend. How's your week been? We've been very busy again at Twiggy Towers. We took Twiglet to the swimming baths again, but to a big pool this time, it was really busy but didn't bother him at all, so that's good.

Had another baking sesh at school on Thursday, I spent more time cleaning up after making Easter biscuits than actually making them!It also seems to have been a week of various appointments and errands. Here's some new stuff.

My glasses, my Mum is partially sighted due to Glaucoma so now I'm 40 I have to have a yearly eye test and my lovely Mum insisted on buying me some new specs. What do you think ? (excuse wire wool hair, hairdryers are not good for my curly hair, can't wait until it's warm enough to just wash and go). Although they look similar these are actually 2 different pairs, one of them have very thick side arms so wouldn't be suitable for driving, so I have two different styles.
I have also spent some of my birthday money this week, I LOVE this top, Cammy says it looks like me, bless that boy, she hasn't got wire hair!

I also had a fancy for pink pumps so bought these, aren't they gorgeous? It looks as though Spring has finally arrived, so here are a few snaps of the garden, this flowering currant bush is getting huge, it used to be in a tiny pot in our tiny back yard and we brought it with us when we moved 4 years ago. It smells lovely and looks so pretty. This is an old tree trunk at the bottom of the garden. These little cuties are peeping out from under the flowering currant bush.

I've not had a lot of time for crafting this week but here's a little work in progress for me ! I did this little cross stitch Singer a while ago and I'm in the process of making it into a mixed media picture.
On the lead up to Easter, Twiglets school is keeping us on our toes. Here we have his Easter bonnet, made by Daddy and decorated by Twiglet :)
We are also on Easter cupcake making duty next week for the coffee morning after the Easter service at our village church, starting with the Easter bonnet parade - fabtastic.
Righto, I'm off to make some Easter cards out of this little lot, I might have a little helper if I can tear him away from Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Wee Twiglet is going to a birthday party tomorrow and I'm hoping to do a spot of gardening.

By the way, the bit of news is, Twiggy is going back to work, yes I know about time. I phoned my old employer for a reference and they offered me a job and I said, yes!! So it'll be back to selling new homes for me, two weekends on, two off, so the boys can do a little bonding and hopefully not trash the house while I'm out !!
Have a great week.
Twiggy x

  4. Love your new glasses. I got a new pair a couple of weeks ago, i fancied some ones with wider side pieces but felt that I could not see out enough for driving. Felt a bit like I was peeping through a letter box. Still like them but not sure they are me. Excellent one with the job!!! What luck. We are also on easter bonnet duty tomorrow too. Ok Monday, you show yours and I will show mine, deal?

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
