Back to it & Christmas Makes

Blimey it's windy up here at the moment.

We are back into the swing of things, Twiglet is back at school, Mr Twigs at work, me working part time, studying, being domesticated !!

The decorations came down on Tuesday and the room now seems huge.

As promised here are some photos of some lovely Christmas makes. Apologies for the blurred photos, it's impossible to take a good photo at the moment as it's so dingy.
 Lovely Twiglet makes.
 Love this salt dough ornament.
Christmas Art Club makes - clever lad.
 How cute is this calendar.
We received this card from one of our neighbours with a photo of their dog Woody, I think it's hilarious, he does not look impressed!
My gorgeous card swap from Andrea over at Indigo Blue isn't it lovely?
Not forgetting Twiglet's fab card he received from one of his school friends, a hand drawn Dr Who inspired card, complete with tardis.  I love the fact she wrote in it ` I can't wait to see the Dr Who special, can you?'

Fabtastic.

Righto, swapping Ken Bruce for  a pilates DVD now, trying to sort out my cronky old back.

I bought a new yoga mat from Aldi yesterday for the princely sum of £7.99, it is designed to grip the floor.
This is excellent as we have laminate floors and  in the past I'd start at one side of the room and finish on the other, good fun but not very safe!

  1. I wonder if that mat would be good to put the pedal of my new sewing machine on. It keeps whizzing across my tiled floor. What do you think?
Love all the Christmas items... can't beat home made can you.

  2. I have a cronky old back too Twiggy. Buplex are excellent anti inflammatory's. The damp and cold Winter weather doesn't help. We went in our local 'Chipper' (Chippy) the other night and they said they had no fish because it's too rough at sea to catch any. You couldn't make it up!

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
