Awards and Birthday Loveliness

I've been a very lucky Twiggy this week, received some lovely pressies, a wad of cash - I always prefer cash for birthdays, January sales etc. and some lovely bits ad bobs from friends. A fab pair of black Hunter Wellies, I've coveted these for a long time and decided after scraping mud off my walking boots for the 100th time, I really NEEDED a pair so Mr Twigs bought me some and Larkrise to Candleford DVD and some books. I also received some Amazon vouchers so will show you what I bought later.
Here are some of the beautiful cards I received from my card making buddies.
Look what my lovely friend Vicky @ Anglesey Allsorts made for me, get some in your Etsy shop missus, totally gorgeous and much appreciated. Beautifully wrapped as always. All my favourite colours.

We had my official birthday yesterday and went to lovely Filey for the day, aforementioned wellies were christened in the sea, had fish and chips at Inghams and of course visited lovely Sterchis chocccy shop for my fave old lady chocs (yes, I know I'm an old lady!) Rose and Violet Creams - yum. Twiglet still hasn't realised if the sea goes above your wellies, they fill up, so got very wet :)
Twiglet and Mr Twigs wave watching.Had to take poor old Mr Twigs to the dentist on Friday, thankfully his toothache has gone now, after having a huge tooth glued back together - urgh!
Anyhoo, while he was there I had a good old rummage in a fab nearby charity shop housed in an old church. I love old fashoined rummagey (is that a word?) type charity shops. Found some lovely bits and pieces.
Jolly red enamel pan.
Fab 70s soup bowls.
Pretty shell bracelet.
Along with a pile of books for Twiglet and the New Ideal Book for Boys feturing a story called `School for Slackers' tee hee - for Mr Twigs. All for the princely sum of £3!

I've been lucky enough to receive a few awards this week, thank you so much they are much appreciated.

Thanks to Josie @ Sykes Silly site and Taz @ Ratbag Creations for this one.
Thanks also to Kitty @ Kittys Bloggy Bits and Julia @ Marmaladekiss for this one.
Right back at all you ladies, I really enjoy reading your blogs. As this is another mammoth post and me being very lazy, I'm going to pass this on to every person who has taken the time and trouble to leave a comment on my blog, it's very much appreciated.

Finally not much to report on the crafting front, (I have been rather busy, that David Tennant phew, what an EXCITING birthday) I'm currently working on a HUGE *************** for my friends wedding in July, which will take a LOT of time. however did have time for a few more brooches (sorry about photo quality). If you'd like to win the one on the left, I've donated it to the Cuteable.com giveaway which I think closes tomorrow. If you haven't left a comment on the Cuteable blog, get over there fast, the basket of goodies is fab. If you're not a winner feel free to purchase one of my brooches from my Etsy shop :)

Righto, coffee time.

Take care

love

Twiggy x

PS I'm on Cuteable.com right now, go take a look!!!!

  4. Olga da Polga- how lovely! If you only knew how long I spent trying to remember the name of that guinea pig about three weeks ago! I was racking my brains for hours. Got there in the end though - same bloke that wrote Paddington I believe? I love violet creams, enjoy! There's something for you on my blog if you would like to pop over. Carolyn xx

I am so glad to hear that little Twiglets toothache is gone, poor little thing he must have been so scared.

  13. Happy belated birthday - and what a great haul from the rummaging.

Sounds like a lovely birthday, especially the fish and chips and chocolates part (ever since dad told me that he had posted a food parcel I have been craving British food even more than normal - how long can the bloomin' parcel take to get here ever???).

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
