Happy Easter Everyone

Happy Easter everyone !!!
What was the first thing Twiglet said this morning? Where's the rabbit mummy? took me a few minutes to figure out he meant the Easter bunny - lol.
We appear to have an Easter egg mountain in our kitchen, even I'm flagging and I'm a total chocaholic. I am looking forward to the lovely leg of lamb I'm slow roasting for dinner though - yum.
Hope you're having a lovely day whatever you are doing and managing to keep warm. We had quite a lot of snow on Friday night and last night but it has now melted. However, we did manage to drive through to my mums and build an Easter snow bunny before it melted ! Will have to post a photo when I've uploaded them onto my PC.

Well I've been quite a busy little bee this weekend, making cards, ATCs and adding finishing touches to my Pay It Forward parcels..... more about that at a later date.
I just wanted to share my news about how lucky I've been, the girl who never wins anything, entered an Easter card competition on the fabulous Papercraftersunited forum and guess what? I won second prize and pride of place on todays homepage, wahey. I'm very excited and very grateful to the lovely ladies that voted for my card. It's funny because I actually recycled a box that had some Easter bunnies in it to make the card. They are really cute little fellas that Twiglet painted for Nana and Grandma. I've attached a photo of my card above and here is a piccy of Twiglets works of art. (Apologies for fuzzy photo!). Hope you like them.
On a bit of a sad note our lovely guinea pig Miss Peaches died last Thursday she was quite old but we were very upset, her sister Miss Queenie died a couple of months ago, so we had a little funeral for her and they are now buried under a lovely white lilac tree in our garden. We'll miss those girls, they were so funny.
I thought I'd post a photo of our fluffy Rex girls, so you can see how cute they were.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, stay cosy and eat chocolate :)

Love the card and the bunnies and congratulations!!!
    Happy Easter!!
I was sorry to hear about you guinea pig girls. L's hamster died last year and I had to hold it all night while it died, was very sad and I was against getting her another one, but lo we have another one!!

  2. I am so sorry about you losing your two little 'misses', they certainly were very cute. For a moment I thought that maybe you brought that lop rabbit home after all, with the mention of an Easter bunny! I have overdosed on chocolate and now feel quite sick, although I was warned, but would I listen? Twiglet's works of art are lovely, and congratulations on winning a prize, long overdue. Enjoy the rest of your Easter break, let's hope the sun comes out a bit more tomorrow? x

  10. Hello. Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I've had a lovely time here reading your bits and pieces, and viewing your lovely handmade things.

I'm so sorry to hear about your guinea pig - I had guinea pigs as a child, and they were such characters, both of them.

Hope you and your family had a lovely Easter weekend. x

Thank you for your kind comment about the loss of my daughter's beloved cat. I know you understand the sadness we feel after reading about the loss of your two sweet guinea pigs so soon after each other.
We can be grateful they were a good part of our lives!

    Hugs, Pat

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
