To paraphrase Brucie - Didn't I do well ?????

Hope you all had a great Mothers Day. As I said before we're having mine tomorrow but I still managed a lovely breakfast in bed and hurriedly opened pressies and cards before work on Sunday. I did do well, as well as a glue gun - yay !!! I received a Hello Kitty pencil case (deep down inside I am still a 10 year old girl and LOVE Miffy and Hello Kitty), a groovy purse a lovely book called I Love My Mummy and my bestest present ever, my very first letter from my little boy. I opened it just before I had to dash out to work and I'm so soppy it made me cry so I had to redo my make up sigh.....................................

Here's a piccy of the little bag I made my mum, it was going to be a cushion initially, then lavendar bags and ended up as a small bag, can you tell I'm the indecisive type? I used the bluebell design from an issue of Cross Stitch Crazy - I love that mag and always want to do every single thing in it, but decided Mum probably wouldn't fancy the dinosaur mobile and plumped for this instead, I was right :)

I love these gorgeous pendants I bought for my Mum and Mother In Law, they were very lucky as when they arrived in the post I was sorely tempted to keep them. The one I bought for my mum is from a lovely ebayer and is a shard of Ming pottery, may well have to buy one of these for me, is that dreadful? The second one is one that I bought for my MIL from a very talented lady on Etsy called Betty at AnnLeahDesigns, her stuff is so gorgeous. (note to self, stop spending so much time drooling over the pretty things on Etsy) - surely it's not just me that does this.

  1. Oooh, what lovely pictures to look at :-) I loved the bag you made, and the pendants are gorgeous. How you resisted temptation and didn't keep one I will never know. Oh and no, you are not the only one to waste far too much time drooling on Etsy makes.

  3. I laughed when I read the process you went through to get to the lavender bag ... sounds very familiar LOL!

I bet the pendants were well received, they are lovely.

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
