Twit Twoo......................

Well we had a great Mothers Day yesterday spent on a very sunny but rather chilly Bridlington beach, we built sandcastles, collected shells, ate far too much and walked for ages. Twiglet was so tired he fell asleep on the way home, a sure sign of a good day out.

Thought I'd post a pic of a really cute owl garland that I found on the fab blog Moonstitches. It's pretty easy and soooo cute, I actually made mine by hand as I'm scared of my lovely Singer sewing machine that I was given by a very nice Freecycler. (Have you tried Freecycle? it's brilliant, we gave away loads of Japanese shrubs - I really don't like shrubs, they remind me of supermarket carparks and in return received a lovely sewing machine). Anyhow, I must get over my fears, I'm such a luddite.

Why not have a go at making one yourself, here's a link to the Tutowlrial.

  2. Glad you had a good Mothers day.
I have seen the owl tutorial before and decided to make them but never got around to it! Great to see yours!
I too am afraid of my sewing machine but I am overcoming that fear. I love hand stitching and was stitching the bunnies but then I had a go with the sewing machine and made four in the time it would take to stitch one so that was me converted.

Well I"ve finally taken the plunge...................

After drooling over many blogs for months now I've decided to finally take the plunge, so here is my new dawn.
Hence the beautiful sunrise above as photographed by Mr Twiggy through our bedroom window. (I'm sure I'll be including a lot of his pics, hope he doesn't expect commision).

I love crafting and have ever since I was a little girl and spent hours playing with my mums button tin (which I've inherited) and amused my self by making dresses for my dollies - even though I'd cut their hair and given them green felt tip highlights. Punk Tiny Tears - I should have marketed this idea !!

Hope you enjoy my work as much as I've enjoyed others who are a daily inspiration to me.

I hope to share favourite blogs, books and anything and everything with you, so enough off my blithering on and watch this space...............................................
